Did you know, sixteen people drown in Vietnam every day and over half are children?

Busselton Jetty Swim is pleased to announce we’re supporting Swim Vietnam, a charity created to provide free swimming lessons for Vietnamese children and prevent the startling number of drownings.

Earlier this year we donated a selection of swimming caps to Swim Vietnam and in 2024 we’ll be coordinating a swimming cap collection!

This is the perfect opportunity to do something meaningful with your collection of swimming caps – which let’s face it, you’re probably never going to use. The caps will be gifted to Swim Vietnam students and will help them, particularly the girls with long hair, while they learn to swim.

Given that the Busselton Jetty Swim is all about fostering community and encouraging and inspiring people of all ages and abilities to swim, we feel that supporting Swim Vietnam is a way of extending the reach of our vision.

Keep an eye out for collection bins at the finish area and at the Swim Vietnam marquee on the amphitheatre.  They also may be dropped at the check-in tent.

We hope you can support us.  For more information about Swim Vietnam go to www.swimvietnam.com
