Waitlist, Withdrawals, Changes & Refunds

Waitlist

3.6km Solo Swim & One Mile Swim to Shore.

  • On closure of the Ballot period, entries to these events will be allocated by random draw.
  • All entries that are unsuccessful in the Ballot will form the original Waitlist.
  • You may still enter the Waitlist after this time.  However, we recommend you enter the Ballot on 1st October, because those unsuccessful entrants will automatically be placed at the top of the Waitlist after the Ballot is drawn.

You cannot be registered and/or waitlisted for more than one event (except for the 500m Swim). For example, you cannot be registered for the One Mile Swim while also being on the waitlist for the Solo Swim. Swimmers who violate this rule will be removed from all registrations and waitlists for the event.

Withdrawals and Refunds
Refunds for entry fees can only be issued according to the timelines outlined below.  These conditions apply to all refund requests, regardless of the situation.  After the specified dates, entry fees become non-refundable.

If you cannot participate, you will need to withdraw in writing via email to rego@busseltonjettyswim.org.au.
  • Full refunds, minus a $15 administration fee ($5 for the Kids Swim), are available only if requested in writing via email before the December 2025 deadline (date to be confirmed).
  • A 50% refund is available if requested in writing before the January 2025 deadline (date to be confirmed).  After this date, all new registrations and waitlist promotions are non-refundable.
  • For Kids Swim withdrawals, a full refund minus a $5 administration fee is available until the January 2026 deadline (date to be confirmed).

No refunds for swimmer-initiated cancellations will be issued after the January 2026 deadline, regardless of the circumstances.

Changes

To request a change in your swim category, please email rego@busseltonjettyswim.org.au.

Please note that there may be a waitlist for the event you wish to change to. Normal waitlist rules apply.

Note:

To ensure fairness for all participants and those on the waitlist, entry swaps or transfers between swimmers are not allowed.

Any person swimming under someone else’s entry or in an incorrect category will face a two-year ban for both the swimmer and the individual whose entry was misused.
