Busselton Jetty Swim is proud to support a range of community initiatives.

Busselton Jetty Environment Foundation

Through its environmental arm, Busselton Jetty Inc works to protect not only the 158 year old Jetty, but the its incredible underwater marine environment. The foundation  is committed to being leaders in marine conservation and partners with all major WA universities to further support research across social and environmental topics.  Busselton Jetty Swim is pleased to financially support these efforts and also invites participants to donate to the foundation during event registrations.

South West Academy of Sport

In partnership with South West Academy of Sport (SWAS), each year Busselton Jetty Swim gives one local Busselton teenager access to the SWAS Individual Athlete Support Program. The scholarship uses a holistic approach to equip promising young athletes with the tools for success, on and off the sporting field, in their pursuit of sporting excellence.

Swim Vietnam

Swim Vietnam gives Vietnamese children a skill that could save their life. The charity trains swim teachers, builds pools, and provides free survival swimming and water safety lessons in central Vietnam. In 2023 Busselton Jetty Swim donated swim caps to the charity which were distributed to students. In 2024 we will also be providing Jetty Swim participants the opportunity to donate their swimming caps. Watch this space.

Busselton Jetty Crew Leadership Program

Busselton Jetty’s Jetty Crew is a dynamic youth program, open to 16-18-year-olds, which fosters environmental awareness and a passion for marine conservation through formal training, hands-on initiatives, and an opportunity to complete an Open Water Dive Course.  Many participants go on to become marine biologists.

GeoCatch

GeoCatch is dedicated to coordinating and engaging the community to preserve the pristine waters of Geographe Bay. Working in partnership with the community, industry and agencies they aim to protect and enhance the natural values and support sustainable growth of the Geographe Bay Catchment.
