Busselton – Gateway to the Margaret River Region

The Busselton Jetty Swim gives participants the perfect excuse to visit the Margaret River Region.  Swim recovery never felt so good!

Undalup (Busselton) is the seaside gateway to the Margaret River Region on Wadandi Booja – Saltwater peoples’ country. It‘s where beach holiday memories are made.

Located on Geographe Bay, Busselton allures holiday makers with its seemingly endless stretches of white sandy beaches, crystal clear protected waters, and relaxed family friendly atmosphere.  Most who visit return again and again, enticed by the city’s thriving events calendar or just to relish in life’s simple pleasures and enjoy nostalgic rituals, many of which centre around the town’s famous timber jetty.

Busselton is also the perfect base to explore the region and its key towns: Dunsborough, Yallingup Cowaramup, Margaret River, and Augusta.  Breath taking views and endless adventures await those who disperse through the region – from towering forests and ancient caves to rugged coastline and secluded beaches. And of course, the region is also internationally acclaimed for its gourmet food, award winning wine and boutique beer. All of your senses will be delighted!

Don’t Drive Tired

Fatigue is the silent killer on our roads

70% of serious crashes in Western Australia happen because someone may be tired or have a momentary lapse in concentration due to fatigue.

And it doesn’t only affect long-distance drivers. The  length of time you’ve been awake increases your risk of fatigue, so shift workers, students and parents who have been awake with children through the night are all at risk.

Before you begin your journey to or from the Jetty Swim, please make sure you are well rested,  stop every two hours, swap drivers regularly and if you do feel tired, pull over in a safe place and have a 20 minute power nap of before continuing on your journey.
