The Busselton Jetty Swim is a premier event on the West Australian sporting calendar featuring a 3.6km open water swim around the iconic Busselton Jetty.
Held over two days, the event offers a range of swimming distances to suit every age and ability, with the signature 3.6km swim to be held on the morning of Sunday 11th February 2024.
And for those who prefer to stay dry, there’s plenty of entertainment and activities including the family friendly FREE Busselton Jetty Swim Sunset Concert on Saturday 10 February 2024.
Established in 1996, the first Busselton Jetty Swim had just 80 participants. Now internationally recognised, the 2023 event saw more than 4,000 participants aged 8 to 80, take to the water.
3.6km (Solo, 2 Person Relay, 4 Person Relay): Our signature event in the pristine waters of the Geographe Bay. Swim 3.6km around the Busselton Jetty – the southern hemisphere’s longest timber-piled jetty. Sunday 11 February. Entry via ballot.
One Mile Swim to Shore (1.6km): There wouldn’t be many swims anywhere that you could start 1 mile out to sea and swim to the beach. Swimmers enter the water at the end of the Busselton Jetty and swim One Mile (1km) to shore. Sunday 11 February. Entry via ballot.
Simon’s 500m Shortcut Swim: Returning in 2024, our newest event is a 500m swim that starts at the eastern side of the Jetty, heads out for about 200m before ducking under the Jetty and heading towards the finish line. Saturday 10 February.
Busselton Jetty Kids Swim: Junior swimmers can participate in the 222 metre Kids Swim for 8 to 12 year olds around the outside of the Swimming Jetty. Saturday 10 February.
