Waitlist, Transfers & Refunds

  • Entry in the 3.6km (Solo) And One Mile Swim To Shore events is via ballot.
  • Unsuccessful entrants are added to a waitlist
  • The 2025 Waitlist will be on the event website from Tuesday 16th October 2024.
  • Entrants will be automatically promoted into the event as places become available (i.e. following swimmer withdrawals) in the order of the waitlist.  
  • When this occurs, your payment will be automatically processed (using the details provided during the ballot) and you will be registered in the event.  
  • While on the waitlist you may withdraw your entry at any time via the website, however once you are promoted into the event, normal refund conditions will apply. 
  • If you are promoted into the event after the refund cut-off date (7 January 2025) you will not be eligible for a refund.
  • It is up to swimmers to monitor their position on the Waitlist and withdraw if they no longer wish to participate in the event.
  • Promotions from the Waitlist into the event will continue until Tuesday 21st January 2025.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE

  • Failed payments for Waitlist promotions will be notified via email and automatically retried the following day. Following a second failed payment, Waitlist registrations will be notified by email and have until 5:00 pm the following day to make a manual payment. If payment is not received by this time the swimmer will be withdrawn from the event.

  • Team swimmer details may be changed online any time before Tuesday 21 January 2025 
  • Replacement team swimmers must register online or complete an entry form and sign the swimmer waiver at Check-In
  • Please note only one change is permitted for teams of two; and only two changes allowed for teams of four. 
  • Swap or transfers are not permitted for solo swimmers. 
  • If you unable to swim, you will need to withdraw by emailing rego@busseltonjettyswim.org.au.   
  • The next person on the waitlist will take your place.
  • You may be eligible for a refund.

If you are unable to participate, you may be eligible for refund, depending on these dates:

  • Before Tuesday 10 December 2024 : 100% entry fee minus $15 admin fee.
  • Before Tuesday 7 January 2025: 50% entry fee refund.
  • After 7 January 2025: No refunds.

For Kids Swim withdrawals, a full refund, less a $5 administration fee applies until 21 January 2025
